Three friends killed after Missouri high school game

A tragic crash on February 21 has devastated the Climax Springs School District and the Missouri community, claiming four lives, including three recent high school graduates.

The accident occurred when a 49-year-old driver ran a stop sign on U.S. Highway 54, colliding with another vehicle.

The impact killed the 38-year-old driver of the second car and three young passengers—Ava Wolfe, Jayden Butterfield, and Violet Corado—who had just attended a basketball game.

The school district honored them, calling their loss heartbreaking. Corado had dreamed of becoming an English teacher, while Wolfe had just purchased a car the day before.

A fundraiser has been set up for the families, and grief counseling is being offered. Officials noted that only four of the ten people involved were wearing seatbelts.
