President Zelenskyy has brutal response when asked why he didn’t wear a suit to White House

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s attire during his recent meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump has sparked criticism and debate. Traditionally seen in military-style clothing since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Zelenskyy chose similar attire for the White House meeting, prompting remarks about its appropriateness.

Reports indicate that Trump’s team had advised Zelenskyy to wear formal attire for the meeting, a suggestion he declined. This decision reportedly offended President Trump, who sarcastically commented, “He is all dressed up today,” upon greeting Zelenskyy at the West Wing entrance.

During the Oval Office meeting, Brian Glenn, Chief White House Correspondent at Real America’s Voice, questioned Zelenskyy about his choice of attire, asking, “Why don’t you wear a suit? Do you own a suit?” Zelenskyy responded, “I will wear a suit after this war is finished. Maybe something like yours. Maybe better, maybe cheaper.

The exchange over Zelenskyy’s clothing choice has drawn mixed reactions. Some view his attire as a symbol of solidarity with Ukrainian forces amid ongoing conflict, while others perceive it as a lack of respect for formal diplomatic protocols. The incident has further strained relations between the U.S. and Ukraine, overshadowing discussions on critical issues such as military aid and geopolitical strategy.
