BREAKING NEWS ON POPE FRANCIS CONDITION. SENDING PRAYERS

Pope Francis, aged 88, remains in critical condition at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital, where he has been receiving treatment since February 14 for double pneumonia and related complications.

Despite the severity of his illness, the Vatican reports that he is alert and well-oriented.

Recent medical updates indicate that while the Pope’s condition is serious, there have been no further respiratory crises since Saturday evening.

He continues to receive high-flow oxygen therapy, and his hemoglobin levels have improved following blood transfusions.

However, blood tests have revealed early signs of mild kidney failure, which are currently under control. Given the complexity of his health issues, the prognosis remains guarded.

In a heartfelt message from his hospital bed, Pope Francis expressed gratitude for the global outpouring of prayers and support.

He conveyed appreciation for the dedication of the medical staff attending to him and mentioned being particularly touched by letters and drawings from children worldwide.

The Pope’s hospitalization has led to the postponement or cancellation of his scheduled engagements, including the traditional Sunday Angelus prayer, which he has missed for two consecutive weeks. In his absence, Archbishop Rino Fisichella celebrated Mass and offered special prayers for the Holy Father’s recovery.

Supporters have gathered outside Gemelli Hospital, holding vigils and offering prayers for Pope Francis’s health. Groups of nuns and pilgrims have been seen singing and lighting candles, demonstrating the profound global concern for his well-being.

As the situation develops, the Vatican continues to provide regular updates on the Pope’s condition. The global Catholic community remains united in prayer, hoping for his swift and full recovery.
