President Trump, now 78, was recently declared in “excellent health” by the White House physician following a thorough medical exam involving 14 specialists. He has reportedly lost 25 pounds, lowered his cholesterol, and continues to abstain from alcohol and tobacco.
But some remain unconvinced. GOP strategist Rick Wilson, co-founder of the Lincoln Project, says Trump shows signs of cognitive decline, including rambling speech, confusion, and verbal slip-ups. “This is not the Trump of 2015 or even 2020,” Wilson told Times Radio. “It remains to be seen if he survives another four years.”
Veteran journalist Timothy L. O’Brien shares similar worries, noting that Trump’s late father suffered from dementia and that Trump’s behavior may be more about self-preservation than politics.
While Trump’s recent health report was more detailed than in past campaigns, some experts argue test results don’t always reflect real-world cognitive health.
“He may pass tests,” Wilson said, “but many are seeing early signs of decline.”
Despite the clean medical reports, doubts linger—not just about Trump’s physical condition, but about what voters are witnessing with their own eyes.
